Lastly, you need to talk about the price.  While sticking to the budget is very essential, hiring a quality speaker is also very important.  You want to guarantee your audience a memorable as well as an enriching experience during the event and getting an affordable, but substandard keynote speaker will not guarantee that.  You should strike a balance between cost and quality when searching for the best keynote speaker.  Why not try haggling for a reasonable cost if the keynote speaker you want to hire is a bit pricey?  If not, there are plenty of fish in the sea.  With a little tenacity, you may be able to find a keynote speaker which offers quality at the best price possible.
